چکیده

Ginseng is a traditional medicine with health benefits for humans. Protopanaxadiol (PPD) an important bioactive compound found in ginseng. Transgenic rice containing PPD has been generated previously. In the present study, extracts of this transgenic were evaluated to assess their antiadipogenic and anti-inflammatory activities. During adipogenesis, cells treated seed extracts. The results revealed that concentrations tested study did not affect cell viability at 3 days post-treatment. However, significantly reduced accumulation lipids suppressed activation CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein α (C/EBPα) peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ), which turn inhibited expression adipogenesis-related mRNAs, such as adiponectin, PPARγ, C/EBPα, sterol regulatory element-binding 1, glucose transport member 4, fatty acid synthase. adipocytes, mRNA inflammation-related factors following LPS treatment. NF-κB p65 ERK 1/2 was extract-treated adipocytes. Moreover, treatment extract #8 markedly population G2/M phase. Collectively, these indicate may act obesity-reducing and/or -preventing agent.

N-Acetylcysteine Reduces Markers of Differentiation in 3T3-L1 Adipocytes

Oxidative stress plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of diabetes, hypertension and atherosclerosis. Some authors reported that fat accumulation correlates to systemic oxidative stress in humans and mice, but the relationship of lipid production and oxidative metabolism is still unclear. In our laboratory we used 3T3-L1 preadipocytes, which are able to differentiate into mature adipocytes ...

Peptide Fraction pOh2 Exerts Antiadipogenic Activity through Inhibition of C/EBP-α and PPAR-γ Expression in 3T3-L1 Adipocytes

Many studies have comprehensively examined the venom of Ophiophagus hannah snake. Its venom comprises different compounds exhibiting a wide range of pharmacological activities. In this investigation, four peptide fractions (PFs), ranging from 3 kDa to 10 kDa, isolated from the Vietnamese snake venom of O. hannah were separated by HPLC and investigated for their inhibitory activity on adipogenes...

Resveratrol potentiates genistein's antiadipogenic and proapoptotic effects in 3T3-L1 adipocytes.

Genistein (G) and resveratrol (R) individually inhibit adipogenesis in 3T3-L1 adipocytes and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. We investigated whether the combination of G and R resulted in enhanced effects on adipogenesis, lipolysis, and apoptosis in 3T3-L1 cells. Preadipocytes and mature adipocytes were treated with G and R individually at 50 and 100 micromol/L (G100; R100) and in combination...

Regulated renin release from 3T3-L1 adipocytes.

Whereas adipose tissue possesses a local renin-angiotensin system, the synthesis and regulated release of renin has not been addressed. To that end, we utilized differentiating 3T3-L1 cells and analyzed renin expression and secretion. Renin mRNA expression and protein enzymatic activity were not detectable in preadipocytes. However, upon differentiation, renin mRNA and both intracellular and ex...

Development of a Novel Anti-Obesity Compound with Inhibiting Properties on the Lipid Accumulation in 3T3-L1 Adipocytes

Background: Obesity as a developing global challenge can be characterized by increase in adipocyte number and size arising from adipogenesis. Control of adipogenesis, as a potential strategy, can prevent and manage obesity. So far, the effectiveness of herbal medicine and active ingredients therapies for obesity and metabolic syndrome treatment has been investigated. In this study, a novel comb...
